Muslims in Karnataka won't get reservations under the BJP, says Amit Shah

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would not permit Muslim reservations in the state, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who attacked the Congress for engaging in “appeasement politics” ahead of the Karnataka assembly polls on Sunday.
BJP has increased the security of the country by outlawing the Popular Front of India (PFI), but the Congress party is opposed to it, Shah remarked while speaking at a public gathering in Hunagunda. The BJP would not permit any reductions in Lingayat reserves in the state or Muslim reservations. Amit Shah, the union home minister, predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party would win the next elections in Karnataka and take back the majority of the government.
On Sunday, Shah organised a massive roadshow in Doddaballapura.
“We'll take home the majority in the elections, or at least a mark plus 15 seats. Yediyurappa and Bommai's administration has accomplished a great deal in these four years, the Union Home Minister said ANI.
Voting for the 224-member Karnataka legislature will take place on May 10, and results will be tallied on May 13. 113 seats are required to achieve a majority and form a government.
Shah continued by criticising Congress, saying, “Congress makes empty promises everywhere and loses elections. They support the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), which angers the people of Karnataka.
The BJP has expressed confidence in maintaining power in the state for another term with a landslide vote.
In the South, Karnataka is notable as the only State where the BJP is in power.
With many rallies, open forums, and other contacts occurring around the State, campaigning for the 10 May elections in Karnataka is reaching its height.
On Sunday, Bengaluru hosted a large roadshow for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, he organised open forums at Shivamogga and Nanjangud in Mysuru.
