Reelected as the head of the Indian Film Producers Guild is Shibasish Sarkar

<p>At the guild’s 69th annual general meeting, which took place at The Club in Mumbai’s Andheri district, he was overwhelmingly re-elected.</p>
<p>The Guild has sent Sarkar a letter to inform him of his reelection.</p>
<p>Ashim Samanta and Fazila Allana have been re-elected as the Guild’s treasurers, while Manish Goswami, Apoorva Mehta, Madhu Bhojwani, and Ambika Khurana have been re-elected as vice presidents.</p>
<p>Shibasish Sarkar was re-elected as President of the Producers Guild of India during the association’s 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held in Mumbai on September 29. This was stated in a letter that the guild released on Saturday. The Guild’s Council of Management overwhelmingly chose him to serve as its President once again.</p>
<p>In addition, Ashim Samanta and Fazila Allana were chosen to serve again as the Guild’s treasurers, along with Manish Goswami, Apoorva Mehta, Madhu Bhojwani, and Ambika Khurana. The President spoke at the AGM on the environment and prospects for content creators as well as the greater Media & Entertainment industry.</p>
<p>In the letter, he said that although this year’s run of box office triumphs was extremely encouraging, there were still structural concerns and areas of worry in certain ecosystems that needed to be resolved before we could completely put the disruption caused by Covid behind us.</p>
<p>The letter continued, “In addition, members were informed of significant Guild activities and developments over the previous year and also shared their suggestions on issues and areas that the Guild should look at addressing in the coming year.”</p>
